Traditional tales.
In our literacy we are exploring traditional tales.
Our first story is a tale from India called 'Tiger Child'.
We are very proud of the way we worked in groups to sequence and retell the story.

Raising questions.
Who? What? When? How? Where? Why?
This half term our topic is all about FIRE!
Here are some of the questions we want to find answers to.
Do all materials burn? Do cars burn?
If fire makes light does light make fire?
How does fire spread?
How do firemen know where the fire are?
How do they stop fires?
What happened in the fire of London?
Was the fire of Blandford like the Fire of London?

Science and D.T.
In our science work we have been finding out about different forces. We have planned and carried out experiments investigating the forces involved in rolling vehicles down ramps, changing certain variables and noting the effects.
Next we looked at a variety of toy vehicles, disassembled them and examined how the different parts worked and joined together.
Finally we designed and made our own vehicles. We had to work carefully to make sure the wheels turned successfully!
Then we added the finishing touches!
